Deane Mariotti

Varsity Head Coach

Deane Mariotti began coaching at Conestoga in 2021 and is in her third year as Head Coach of the Varsity program. In 2023, the Varsity team went undefeated in the Central League, and were District 1 and PIAA State finalists, with a 21-4 record. She was named “Coach of the Year” by The Daily Local Newspaper. In 2022, the Varsity team went 19-3-2, which included a run to the district semifinals and state quarterfinals. Deane previously served as JVA head coach (15-0-1). Prior to joining Conestoga, she coached at a variety of levels, including youth travel and collegiate. From 2002-2004, she coached at the University of Pennsylvania for three seasons as a graduate assistant.

Deane graduated from Lowell High School in San Francisco, where she led her high school to two league championships and was three time league defensive MVP. As a freshman, she played for the boys team as the district started the girls soccer league her sophomore year. Deane was a multi-year selection to the Cal North State ODP team. She played Division 1 soccer at the University of Pennsylvania (with Coach Kaput). At Penn, she was a four year starter and three time All-Ivy Honorable Mention. In 1999, she captained the team to the programs first ever NCAA tournament appearance, the highest league finish (2nd) to date, and 10 shutouts as center back. She was also named Academic All-Ivy. She was inducted into the San Francisco Prep Hall of Fame and the Lowell High School Sports Hall of Fame.

She lives in Devon with her husband Adam and their two children, Claire and Will.

Varsity Assistant Coach

Kelli (Toland) Kaput is entering her third season as Varsity Assistant coach with Conestoga. Prior to joining the Stoga staff, she served for 10 years as the Varsity Girls Assistant Coach at Germantown Academy, coaching numerous players that went on to play collegiate soccer and leading the team to a PAISAA State Championship.

Kelli spent her youth soccer career locally as a member of the FC Bayern club team as well as the EPYSA State and Region I teams. Kelli graduated from Nazareth Academy, where she was a four time all-league selection, captain and led her high school to a league championship. She played Division 1 soccer at the University of Pennsylvania alongside Head Coach Mariotti. At Penn, Kelli was a four year starter, captain, four time All-Ivy Honoree and three time NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic Selection. She is 3rd in the program’s history for career assists and 4th for total career points. She was also named Academic All-Ivy. Earlier this Spring, Kelli was inducted as a member of the inaugural class of the Nazareth Academy Hall of Fame.

Kelli currently works as the Operations Associate at the Connelly Foundation and as a Consultant for the Leapfrog Group. She lives in Erdenheim with her husband Matt and their two boys, Grady and Carson.

Betsy Engels

Varsity Assistant Coach

Betsy Engels is entering her third season as assistant coach with Conestoga Soccer. Previously, Betsy has coached a variety of sport teams including 7th and 8th grade basketball and soccer at VFMS as well as winter track at Conestoga. She has coached for multiple club teams and soccer camps locally and out of state.

Betsy graduated from Beavercreek High School outside of Dayton, Ohio where she was a 4 year varsity letter winner for girls soccer. She participated in south western Ohio ODP for multiple years and was selected to attend regional ODP camp.

Betsy played Division 1 soccer at the University of Kentucky where she led her team to an SEC Championship as a center midfielder. In 2005, she captained the team to an NCAA tournament appearance. During the summer before her senior year she played for a professional team as an amateur.

She lives in Devon with her husband Chris, assistant for the Conestoga boys soccer team, and their two children, Kensi and Brooklyn. 

Alli Inch

Allison Inch

JVA Head Coach

Allison (aka “Alli” ) grew up in Central Pennsylvania where she played varsity soccer, basketball, and softball for East Juniata High School. She went on to play collegiate soccer at Eastern University where she was a 3-year starter. Eastern won 3 conference championships and made the Division III NCAA tournament 3 out of the 4 years she was there.

Alli has coached soccer at all levels (camps, clinics, club, middle school, etc.) including 4 years as a graduate assistant at Eastern University. She has also coached volleyball, basketball, and softball at VFMS.

Alli has been working in TESD since 2015 and is currently at Valley Forge Middle School teaching Health & Physical Education.

Alli currently lives in Paoli.

Johnny

Johnny Reynolds

JVB Head Coach

Johnny Reynolds is entering his third season as JVB coach with Conestoga. He graduated from Kellenberg Memorial High School in Uniondale, NY, where he played both soccer and basketball. Johnny attended Villanova University and, for all four years, served as the women’s basketball manager. He helped coordinate the logistics of practices and games with the coaching staff, including a trip to the 2013 NCAA Tournament and several NIT Tournaments. Following college, Johnny received his CrossFit Level One Certification and coached at CrossFit Village Berwyn for five years. Professionally, Johnny serves as a partner and director of media relations at Buchanan Public Relations in Bryn Mawr. He and his daughter Sasha currently lives in Paoli with his wife Courtney.

Breanna Stemler

Goalkeeper Coach

Breanna Stemler enters her second season with Conestoga as the Goalkeeper coach. Previously, she has coached for a variety of specialized sports performance centers, with athletes of all ages. Bre grew up playing as an integral part of the EPYSA State and Region 1 teams, competing for the programs for over 7 years before converting from athlete to coach; helping to train the goalkeepers. Bre graduated from Hatboro-Horsham High School as a 4-year First Team All-League award winner and is a former Division 1 Scholarship athlete; graduating from University of Delaware as a 4-year starter and captain. She helped lead her team to their first CAA Tournament and holds the school record for season shut-outs. After graduating, Bre played professional for a year before focusing on her career.

Professionally, Bre serves with the PA Army National Guard as a Field Artillery Officer and works as a Program Manager in Corporate Wellness. She is passionate about CrossFit, having received her CF-Level 1 coaching certification back in 2019 and is a 5x Ironman finisher. She currently resides in Royersford with her fiancé, dog and cat.
